Charlie Mason has been with the Routes family since 2018. After spending 9 months travelling across Latin America, he developed a deep passion for the region and all its wildlife. Charlie loves seeking out off-the-beaten-track adventures, whether that’s climbing mountains, scuba diving, or trekking through jungles.

Charlie’s passion for extreme and remote environments have seen him travel to both Antarctica and Svalbard, experiencing some of the planet’s most untouched polar landscapes. From witnessing vast colonies of penguins and navigating iceberg-strewn waters in Antarctica to photographing polar bears and Arctic wildlife under the midnight sun in Svalbard, these journeys have deepened his appreciation for conservation and truly wild places – experiences he loves to share with clients looking for something extraordinary.

His favourite destinations include the Galapagos Islands, which first inspired his love for Latin America, as well as Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, and many others across the continent. With around 60 countries visited worldwide, Charlie brings a broad international perspective to his travel planning, having also explored places like Namibia, Indonesia, Japan, Antarctica, and India.
