James’ curiosity for travel started early, shaped by time spent exploring the Lake District with his grandfather, and later taking on the challenge of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro while still at school.

After six months travelling through Latin America, it became clear this wasn’t just an interest — it was something he wanted to build a career around. He joined our sister company, Latin Routes, as a Travel Specialist, but it wasn’t long before his focus shifted further afield.

Today, James’ real passion lies in Antarctica and the wider polar regions. He’s one of the most knowledgeable members of the team, always keeping a close eye on new itineraries, ships and experiences, and thinking about how each journey can go a little deeper than the last.
