Cruise Routes
Jo Seghal
Cruise Consultant
Jo has spent more than 20 years in the travel industry and has travelled to all seven continents. She specialises in small-ship cruising and has been helping clients discover the polar regions for over 15 years, drawing on first-hand experience of destinations including Greenland, Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falkland Islands and Svalbard.
Wildlife is at the heart of Jo’s travels. She’s seen more than 20 species of whales and dolphins around the world, with some unforgettable encounters along the way – from beluga whales in Churchill before sailing through the Canadian Arctic to Greenland, to a curious minke whale swimming alongside her Zodiac in Antarctica, where gentoo penguins also decided her wellington boots were worth investigating.
When she’s not exploring the polar regions, Jo is often searching for the Northern Lights. She’s been fortunate enough to witness them more than ten times in Canada, Norway, Sweden and Finland, and has a real passion for the landscapes and cultures of the Nordic countries.
Jo has travelled extensively to remote destinations across the globe, and her favourite warmer-water adventures include French Polynesia, where she swam with sharks and rays, and Hawaii, where she experienced the remarkable feeling of hearing humpback whales beneath the water while swimming, before joining manta rays on a night dive. Whether you’re dreaming of the Arctic, Antarctica or somewhere a little warmer, Jo’s first-hand knowledge helps clients choose the voyage that’s right for them.
